Matthew’s Christmas narrative reminds us that the arrival of Jesus is the fulfillment of an Old Testament prophecy where “the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). It’s easy for us to read this every year and gloss over the phrase “God with Us”. Compared to other world religions, Christianity’s promise of “God with Us” is a radical idea! In this series, we’ll explore the different circumstances and the impact that “God With Us” should have on our faith journey.
