What h2h is all about

Hand2Hand is a regional ministry that partners with local churches and schools to provide a backpack filled with supplemental food that bridges the gap of weekend hunger. Food sent home consists of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner items, often sent home with a recipe card included. The program nourishes more than physical needs. It provides consistency, love, and demonstrates to all within a home that people do care. And ultimately, that God cares.

In our partnership with Hand2Hand, LifeChange currently provides food every weekend for at least 74 children locally at Sycamore Elementary, Hopkins Elementary and Hopkins Middle Schools.

How you can get involved

Help with food packing

Twice monthly, volunteers are needed to pack food that will be delivered to schools. Packing occurs twice monthly on Tuesdays, once in the morning and once in the evening. Expect to spend about an hour serving. For the full schedule of packing dates, visit the sign-up link below:

Help with food delivery to schools.

Every Thursday, delivery drivers are needed for both of our Hand2Hand routes. Food will need to be picked up from the church between 8:30am - noon, and delivered to the schools by 3pm. One driver will deliver to Sycamore Elementary in Dorr, and the other will deliver to 3 schools in Hopkins. note: if driving to Hopkins, you will need to fit 12 totes in your vehicle, so it is recommended you drive a minivan or truck.

Donate food.

On Sundays, stop by the Hand2Hand display in the Main Lobby to see what kind of food items are needed for donation. Take home a tag, buy the item, and then return the items to church the following Sunday.

Donate money to LifeChange hand 2 hand.

Give to Hand2Hand by giving to Faith Promise, and putting a note that designates it for Hand2Hand.
