Open-handed

There's a story (rumor) out there that says that the best way to catch a monkey is to put a handful of peanuts into a jar with a narrow neck.  As the monkey tries to grab the peanuts, he'll never get his fist out of the jar.  Only when he opens his hands to release the peanuts, can he get his hands out of the jar.  Many of us are like monkeys with our hands tightly gripping the things around us, but the only path to true happiness and joy takes place when we release the grip on the stuff that holds us hostage.  In this short series, we'll take a look at what generosity and open-handed living looks like.
